Mitsubishi Steel Mfg. Co. Ltd. (MSM) expands the production line for Special Alloy Powder products

MSM has decided to expand Water Atomization line for Special Alloy Powder products at Hirota Works, Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima. The total investment amount is approximately 700 million yen, and the completion is scheduled for the end of 2025.
MSM Group positions the Special Alloy Powder business as one of Strategic Business. Especially, Soft Magnetic Powders for inductor used communication and control devices such as smartphones and automobiles are expected to experience significant market growth. By improving quality and productivity, development projects and orders are increasing steadily. As production lines are currently operating at nearly full capacity, MSM is going to make equipment investments to expand production.
As a result, production capacity will be increased by 50% from the current level. In addition, based on the stages to match planned sales growth, MSM plans for further equipment reinforcement.
For “Ideal vision for 2030”, MSM aims to achieve business growth with suppling Alloy Powder Products.
