The System for Copper Wire Recovery from Waste Motors (*1) developed by Mitsubishi Nagasaki Machinery Co., Ltd., a subsidiary, won the Japan Society of Industrial Machinery Manufacturers Chairman’s Award at the 48th Excellent Environmental Equipment Award (*2) sponsored by the Japan Society of Industrial Machinery Manufacturers.
Using a miscellaneous scrap product crushing sorting line composed of a magnetic separator, an eddy-current separator, and an optical color separator, this system separates and collects copper wire with high accuracy from motors found in discarded home appliances and automobiles.
