AMC’s gas atomization mass production equipment begins operation

Gas atomization mass production equipment at the Advanced Materials Center (“AMC”), established within the Chiba Works, came online in April 2022 following various trial operations. This equipment allows the mass production of high-performance (low oxygen and spherical) powders for 3D printers and thermal spraying, for which demand is expected to grow. We will also promote the use of this equipment in the development of carbon neutral products.

AMC is separated administratively from the business divisions, with functions integrated into the Research & Development Center, to create an organizational structure that promotes the development of advanced materials and new products for future demand on a companywide basis.
