MITSUBISHI STEEL MURORAN INC. (MSR) has joined Muroran Offshore Wind Industry Promotion Association (MOPA). MOPA was established in January 2020 in order to invite offshore wind-related businesses to Muroran city, Hokkaido and revitalize local industries. As of this moment, 20 companies and organizations are the members of the association. The association has been appealing to business operators at home and abroad the superiority of the ports and the industry accumulation of Muroran city in industry-academia-government collaboration and at the same time, working in order to inform and broaden understanding of local people about MOPA such as future capabilities of offshore wind power generation. We will tackle to realize a low carbon society by utilizing offshore wind power generation by participating in MOPA.
