Development of handling manipulator used for ring mill automatic line

Our group company - Mitsubishi Nagasaki Machinery Mfg. Co., Ltd., as a forging press and ring mill manufacturer, has developed the world's first 'handling manipulator'. The combination of the link mechanism and the hydraulic servo makes it capable for hot materials automatic insertion into the ring mill with high speed and high precision. Maximum weight 500kg and maximum 600mm outside diameter material can be carried by the machine.

In addition, state-of-the-art operation specification of using a tablet terminal has been realized by intercommunication with a wireless LAN connection between ring mill and handling manipulator. As a result, it will be able to offer automatic line of ring mill in a package, and it is confident that this will improve the productivity of customers.
